American Flyer No. 499 NEW HAVEN Electric Locomotive. American Flyer introduced the No. "499" in 1956-1957. The cab is molded in black plastic and it is painted in Black, Orange and White "McGinnis" paint palette; including the stacked "NH" logo. The sides of the locomotive also marked with white "BUILT BY GILBERT" & "499" & "NEW HAVEN" name. On the top of the locomotive they are two operating pantographs and black plastic horn above both cabs. An electronic whistle is mounted inside and it has four position reverse unit and a single motor. American Flyer placed a six-wheel trucks with knuckle couplers. An operating headlight is placed in each end of the locomotive works well.
the reverse unit has been rebuilt, the speakers works, and equipped with diesel horn.
