American Flyer No. 989 Painted NORTHWESTERN Reefer Car. Black plastic body painted dark green on roof, ends, in lower side, broad yellow side band, yellow and green painted black plastic opening doors with black painted locking mechanism. Black lettering in yellow band: “NORTHWESTERN/REFRIGERATOR LINE/COMPANY/989”,and “CLOSE AND LOCK DOOR/BEFORE MOVING CAR” on doors, Yellow Lettering on green band “CAPY 100000/LD LMT 123000/LT WT14200”, “NEW 40”, and “IL space 36-4/IW 8-7/IH 8-4; Paper labeled with yellow background with red, black, and white “NORTHWESTERN” Logo. Metal frame and door guides. One piece break wheel, black metal door guides fastened by rivets, body has slot and screw hole in ends, Type I frame, sintered iron side frame trucks & operating knuckle couplers. Reefer is in excellent condition.
